You Had a Bad Day
You Had a Bad Day
I had a bad day yesterday. Like, really bad. Everything seemed to go wrong. Several things happened that made me doubt my abilities, and I didn't feel like I was helping anyone.
Very fortunately for me, my co-workers surrounded me with love, kindness, and even prayers. I cried and cried, leaving my eyes puffy still today (see picture below).
Today, in our staff meeting, my boss told me that she wouldn't bring up yesterday if I didn't want to. But if you know me, I wanted to. I believe in vulnerability. In fact, I believe vulnerability is a superpower.
When we can allow ourselves to be vulnerable, we create an environment for others to be vulnerable, too. When we are vulnerable, we see behind the curtain into our hearts to see who we really are.
I told my co-workers about my day and my failures. They empathized with me and encouraged me. They told me that I was good at my job, and they said they believed in me. I told them how much I appreciate their care for my heart on a terrible day.
That's what I hope this community can be. A place where we can encourage each other and give each other hope in love. We are all humans, and we all deserve love and respect. I want Well of Hope to be a place where community members can come to get lifted up.
I hope that's why you are here. I know it's why I am here and why I created this page. Thanks for joining me in this love project. Together, we can change the world.
